Malavika Madhuraj is a Designer at Studio Gang,NY, a renowned architecture and urban design practice based in Chicago. She joined the firm in June 2022, after completing her Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP), where she received the Award for Excellence in Advanced Architecture.

Malavika has a passion for humanitarian architecture and social justice, which she demonstrated in her undergraduate thesis on the Rohingya Refugee crisis, which won her the Honourable Mention award in the ‘Architecture Thesis of the Year competition’ conducted across 104 nations. She also participated in the 2020 ‘Architecture for Exhibition’ course organized by the Young Architects Competitions, where she developed a project under the supervision of David Chipperfield Architects for the design of 2021 setting up of MUDETEC (Museum of Lamborghini Technologies). Malavika believes in a multidisciplinary approach for creating innovative and sustainable solutions for the unique urban issues prevalent in today's world. She is proficient in SketchUp, Sketching, and V-Ray, and has experience in preparing study models

and construction documents for adaptive reuse projects. She is always on the lookout for opportunities to learn new skills and apply them in real-world contexts.
